An artefact rebuilt
An Egyptian Museum artefact, rebuilt from scan to finished piece. A find from the Egyptian Museum rebuilt in every detail: the scan becomes a digital model, the model becomes a milling path, the block of wood becomes the statuette.

How we did it
Scan and model
The artefact is scanned; the digital model is completed and both faces are prepared for machining.
Roughing
The CNC mill removes most of the material, layer after layer.
Finishing
Smaller tools and dense passes bring out the details: face, arms, folds.
Second face
The block is flipped and the back is machined, then the piece is cut free from its holding tabs.
Hand finishing
Sanding and touch-ups by hand, to the finished statuette.
Milling
Bring us the context. The constraints. Even the mess.
Finding the way is our job.
