Viaduct by photogrammetry
A railway viaduct rebuilt with photogrammetry. Hundreds of photos taken on site, in the snow, become a 3D model of a viaduct with every stone in place. The digital model then gives scale parts, printed for model railways.

How we did it
Survey
Systematic photos of the whole viaduct from several points and heights, in the flat light of the snow.
Point cloud
The photos align into a point cloud, then a mesh of the whole structure.
Digital sculpting
Stones, joints and arches cleaned up and redefined so they still read at small scale.
Modules
The viaduct split into arches and piers, each printable and modular.
Print and test
The 3D printed parts tested outdoors, next to the tracks.
Bring us the context. The constraints. Even the mess.
Finding the way is our job.
