Egyptian Museum prototypes

3D printed prototypes for the Egyptian Museum. From the scan of an artefact, 3D printed copies to decide shape, size and tone before the final version, and to see them for real, on plinths, in the gallery light.

How we did it

  1. From artefact to file

The digital model comes from the scan and is prepared for printing.

  2. Several versions

The same piece printed in different tones and sizes, to compare them side by side.

  3. Gallery test

The prototypes on plinths under the display lighting: the choice is made by looking, not on a screen.

Bring us the context. The constraints. Even the mess.

Finding the way is our job.
